Communities of Color Come Together: An Immersive Night Walk

  • Friends Of Princeton Open Space 57 Mountain Ave Princeton, NJ, 08540 United States (map)

Join this illuminating exploration of nature at night at the Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve. Throughout the year, nighttime offers unique and revealing insight into the local ecology. On this spring evening we will recognize a kinship with those who live in the dark. We may discover the songs of courting frogs, talk to owls, listen for foxes and look for lingering glow worms as we move down the trail.

Our guide for this session will be nocturnal naturalist Jeff Hoagland, Education Director at the Watershed Institute. Please bring a flashlight or headlamp and a sense of wonder.

We will begin the evening with light stretching and warm-up before the walk.

This FREE, family-friendly event is sponsored by Friends of Princeton Open Space with the goal of increasing access and engagement for communities of color to Princeton's open lands and preserves.

Registration is required to attend. Be a friend, register a friend! All ages welcome.
