Did you know that Mountain Lake, located at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve in Princeton, has been around since the Princeton Ice Company built dams on the property in 1884? Though it is no longer used to harvest ice, a wide array of New Jersey wildlife has used this water source to survive – and thrive!
