Join our summer stewardship interns on a guided nature walk, where science and art converge amidst gorgeous landscapes of the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve. We'll collect plant leaves and delicate summer blooms along our walk. Then, we'll head inside the Mountain Lakes House and practice the craft of plant pressing to preserve our botanical specimen. Celebrate biodiversity as you immerse yourself in the beauty of nature and the preserve's enchanting trails.
As a part of our Internship program, FOPOS provides three or more internships for students actively pursuing a degree or career in ecology, natural resource management, environmental education, or related fields. Read more about our internship program. Come meet our interns and learn about the amazing work they are doing this summer in Princeton.
We hope you can join FOPOS as our interns guide us through winding trails adorned with verdant foliage, vibrant flora, and towering trees. Learn about the fascinating ecological systems that sustain life within, discover the hidden treasures of the preserve, and unleash your creative spirit.
