Join us for spring planting sessions at the Billy Johnson Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve.

Volunteers will work under the guidance of Natural Resources and Stewardship Director, Anna Corichi, to plant 5,000+ herbaceous plugs in the Forest Restoration site. Native wildflowers, grasses, and ferns have been selected to provide quality habitat for pollinators, birds, and other wildlife, as well as to withstand tough site pressures, such as those posed by white-tailed deer and invasive species. The plantings will also help to protect local water quality by filtering and slowing runoff before it enters Mountain Brook.

Registration is required to attend. Please consider registering for one or more of the upcoming dates, and please tell a friend! Each date has a MORNING [9am-Noon] + AFTERNOON [1pm-4pm] Session.
